The spot beam is shining on a tree about 50m away. This is the standard spot beam with a range of about 200-250m but there is also a ‘narrow’ version with a longer range of around 300m. The flood beam shows the road up to about 100m away.
Some close shots of trees within 10m of the Spikelight. Normally we wouldn’t use the more powerful beams at this range. All photos here show the standard (‘sensible’) flood power level.
